In the immediate aftermath Klitschko congratulated his opponent, who added the vacant WBA belt to his IBF title with his incredible victory in front of 90,000 fans.Klitschko was twice knocked to the canvas before the referee stepped in with the 41-year-old taking a beating on the ropes.
Wladimir Klitschko might have lost to Anthony Joshua last night but he retained his class.

The Ukrainian boxer looked to be on his way to a points victory over his younger opponent at Wembley before Joshua unleashed hell in the 11th round.

Klitschko continued to show his class this morning with his first tweet since the defeat. He used it to state he had enjoyed the fight and to congratulate his victorious opponent.

It remains to be seen where Klitschko will go from here, however a rematch with Joshua remains a possibility.
